Employment Programs

Our employment programs are available throughout the year and cover each step of the employment process. Our programs are designed using a person-centered and neuro-affirming approach. Please see our membership page for more information on how to join ARC and access programs.

Employment Readiness

Members new to career exploration or job searching, this program helps with setting and achieving employment goals. Over six, one-hour sessions, participants explore topics related to their goals such as: career discovery, skills assessments, virtual reality experiences, searching for educational opportunities and more. At the end of the sessions, if you have additional goals to pursue, you can be added back to the waitlist for future program access.

Workshops

Throughout the year, we offer a range of interactive, skill-building workshops designed to guide you from career exploration to employment success. Each workshop is shaped by member feedback and real-world workplace trends, ensuring the content is practical, relevant, and tailored to support members at various stages of their employment journey while accommodating different learning styles.

Career Kickstart Sessions

Start your employment journey at ARC with a 2-hour Career Kickstart session with an Inclusive Employment Consultant. In this one-on-one session, you'll share your employment goals and experiences while reviewing or building your resume and creating a sample cover letter. Throughout the program, you'll work together to determine the next best steps to help you reach your goals.

Job Searching Group

Following our Career Kickstart Session or  Employment Readiness Program, our job search group offers continued support in meeting employment goals. Group members must have resume and cover letter, feel comfortable applying for jobs, and have a good sense of which roles fit their skills and interests. Group members also have access to interview prep and short-term job coaching if needed to help ensure everyone is set up for continued success.

Vocational Volunteers

Each month, our Vocational Volunteers come together to contribute, learn, and connect. Through hands-on volunteer work, members build real-world job skills, form new connections, and gain valuable experience, all while supporting local events, businesses, and community organizations.

Work Experience

ARC offers a limited number of short-term employment opportunities with job coaching support for members actively engaged in our employment programs. These roles are a great way to build skills and gain hands-on experience.
