Box 4751, Regina, Saskchewan S4P 3Y4 Autism Resource Centre “To achieve a meaningful and independent life for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder through education, awareness and programming.” Summer Programs Vision
ARC believes that individuals with ASD benefit and thrive when they are provided with structure and consistency. A regression of acquired skills can occur when an individual with ASD takes a break from their regular routine. Not only are the participants able to maintain previously acquired skills during the break, but they are able to develop new skills and abilities. Parents benefit from the program as well, as they are able to continue employment while their children are out of school. Numerous families and teachers have reported that the transition back to school after participating in one of the ARC Summer Program tends to be a lot smoother than if the individual received no programming during that time.
The Autism Resource Centre (ARC) offers summer program to individuals on the ARC membership list. The program is offered to children, youth, and adults with severe Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) during summer break from school and day programs. |
